Dominic Ingle doesn't believe Oleksandr Usyk beat the best version of Tyson Fury when the pair clashed earlier this year.
Usyk gave Fury a standing count in round nine before winning on points to become undisputed champion.
The pair are set to run it back on December 21 in an immediate rematch, and Fury will need to improve if he’s to taste success.
Ingle, a trainer of multiple world champions, isn't sure whether Fury was in the best fighting shape required to defeat the brilliant Ukrainian.
“Tyson Fury, he shouldn’t have got beat by Usyk because Tyson Fury at his best, and I don’t believe he was at his best, would have beaten Usyk,” said Ingle when speaking to Boxing King Media.
“So, for me, he wasn’t fit enough. If you’re a lighter fighter like Usyk, that’s what you’ve got to do.”
