WBA world featherweight champion Leigh Wood has his sights set on moving up in weight following his fight against Josh Warrington.
Wood defends his world title against the "Leeds Warrior" on Saturday night live on DAZN in a contest which has the potential to be a thrilling one.
But at the age of the 35, making 126lbs is taking its toll on Wood who believes his time competing at featherweight could be coming to an end.
"It gets harder every time to make the featherweight limit," Wood told ESPN.
"The last time against Lara was harder than before and Lara not making the weight made me feel even more sorry for myself. I know what it is like.
"I'm 35 now and I've been making this weight for a long time, it doesn't get easier. I think it takes a little bit out of me and I would be stronger at junior lightweight, definitely. There's nothing more I can cut, except if I was to cut an arm off."
The Nottingham man then went on to name a current British world champion as a possible opponent if he did decide to move up to super featherweight and compete for the top prizes at 130lbs.
"My focus is on Josh Warrington but I'm confident and if I did move up Joe Cordina is a possibility, he's a great fighter," Wood said.
"My dream is to fight at the City Ground, and I have to win this one to make it happen. It would have to be a unification fight or perhaps a rematch with Michael Conlan to keep me at featherweight."
