William Zepeda believes fighting Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis would be a “great fight”, but first he has to get past Giovanni Cabrera.
Davis got past Frank Martin recently, while Zepeda fights on Saturday, live on DAZN .
A win for Zepeda would keep him in contention for a title fight, with Davis the undefeated WBA champion at 135lbs.
‘Tank’ is the biggest draw of the division, so it is unsurprising that Zepeda would want to meet him in the ring despite his fearsome reputation.
“Davis would be a great fight and it would probably be the most complicated fight at 135 pounds because of his youth, strength and mobility,” Zepeda said to BoxingScene.
“I would have to work harder in the gym if that fight did come to fruition. It's going to happen. It would definitely be a more complicated fight than Stevenson.
