Logan Paul's split-decision loss to KSI on Saturday didn't stop him from wanting a trilogy.
KSI just isn’t interested in running it back yet again, though.
Moments after he was edged out on the judges’ scorecards (54-57, 55-56, 56-55) at Staples Center in Los Angeles, Paul let his desire for a third fight with KSI be known. However, KSI dashed those hopes quickly after his victory.
The ref docked two points from Paul's fourth-round knockdown of KSI, a ruling that Paul believes cost him the rematch against his rival YouTuber.
To that point, KSI can evoke his third-round knockdown of Paul that was waved off by the ref, who ruled that he punched Paul behind the head. However, a replay showed that KSI landed the punch behind Paul’s ear and that the knockdown should have stood.
If we don't see a trilogy fight between the two, perhaps KSI will entertain fighting Paul’s brother, Jake Paul, who expressed a desire to fight the British boxer next.
KSI’s split-decision win comes after he and Paul battled to a majority draw last summer. Unlike their original tilt, the rematch marked both fighters' pro debut, as they fought without headgear and while donning 10-ounce gloves.
