Manager explains why Zach Parker picked former world champion for fightDAZN
The Briton is making his way back from a serious injury.

Zach Parker’s manager believes his fighter will have the edge when he comes up against Tyron Zeuge in two months.

Parker is fighting as part of the Magnificent Seven event in Birmingham (shown live on ESPN+ in the US) on March 16.

The card is headlined by British middleweight champion Nathan Heaney, with former WBO interim heavyweight champion Joe Joyce also featuring.

For Parker it is a chance to maintain his comeback. Last year, he stopped Khalid Graidia in round seven, but before then he had been out for almost a year after fighting John Ryder in November 2022, where he had to retire due to a serious hand injury.

Parker had, before then, been picked as a potential title challenger, and Zeuge is a former WBA champion at 168lbs so could provide a stern test to appraise Parker’s recent progress.

“Zeuge’s a former world champion. He was a name the promoter put forward and we accepted the fight. We just think Zach’s a better fighter,” Neil Marsh told BoxingScene.com.

“Zach has been absolutely flying in the gym. He wants to get back to the position he was in before he broke his hand.”
