Manny Pacquiao shared the ring with a number of boxing’s toughest operators, but which opponent had the best chin?
Following an illustrious career that saw Pacquiao test himself against the likes of Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather, Pacquiao was at the top for a very long time, and he credits Antonio Margarito for his ability to take punishment.
After ending the unbeaten run of Miguel Cotto in 2008, Margarito became one of boxing’s biggest attractions before he was stopped by Shane Mosley the next year following a handwrap controversy in the build-up.
In 2010, Pacquaio and Margarito met in a huge super-welterweight clash and even though Pacquiao dominated the bout, he couldn’t put a dent in the rugged Mexican.
“Antonio Margarito. That fight was a war. It was brutal,” said Pacquiao when speaking to The Ring for their 'Best I've Faced' feature back in July 2015 - a feature The Ring have recently recirculated online.
“I threw everything at him, and he not only took it but came back for more. Incredible.”
