Manny Pacquiao has shared the ring with some of boxing’s most dangerous operators, but who was the hardest puncher he ever faced?
Following an incredibly illustrious career that saw the Filipino sensation defeat the best boxing had to offer across eight weight divisions, Pacquiao insists that Miguel Cotto was the man who had the most power.
At the backend of 2009, Pacquiao moved up to welterweight to challenge Cotto for the Puerto Rican’s WBO title.
Pacquaio would emerge victorious with a final round stoppage but despite dominating the fight for large portions, Pacquiao is full of respect for the attacks that came back at him that night.
“I can still feel some of those punches he threw at me,” said Pacquiao when speaking to The Ring in 2015.
“Staying on the ropes is not the best place to be when you are fighting him. He’s also accurate. He’s incredible.”
