The president of Manny Pacquiao Promotions believes that Floyd Mayweather has become obsessed with boxing's only eight-division world champion.

The head of Manny Pacquiao's promotional company couldn't help taking a dig at Floyd Mayweather Jr. this week.

Sean Gibbons, president of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, told reporters in Manila that Pac Man's rise to another championship four years after his loss to Mayweather is eating at the retired undefeated boxing legend.

"The senator’s legacy is rolling and rolling and that’s driving Floyd a little bonkers and mad ever since they fought in 2015," Gibbons told reporters Tuesday at a sports media conference, per rappler.com. Pacquiao is a senator in his native Philippines.

Gibbons also referenced the recent interactions between the ring rivals. Mayweather attended Pacquiao's welterweight title fight vs. Keith Thurman in Las Vegas last July and sparked a back-and-forth with the eight-division champ on social media after the bout. Mayweather accused media of "clout-chasing" because they regularly put his name and Pacquiao's together in their news coverage.

"The senator (Pacquiao) doesn’t base his life around Mayweather, but Floyd Mayweather seems to base his life around the senator now," Gibbons said, according to rappler.com.

As for what's next for Pacquiao in the ring, Gibbons was coy.

"From my own personal opinion, we take one fight at a time. So whatever the next fight is, he sets it up. You'll know," he said, per Philippine media outlet ABS-CBN News.

Gibbons gave no indication that a rematch with Mayweather was being considered, even though Pacquiao seemed to open the door after the Thurman fight by suggesting a #MayPac2 to Mayweather on Twitter.
