Michael Conlan’s career hung in the balance after his most recent performance and many within the sport pondered whether he’d continue to fight.
The Irish star was stopped by Jordan Gill last December and that followed another stoppage defeat against Luis Alberto Lopez, ensuring an awful 2023 for Conlan.
After taking time to reflect, the two-time world title challenger has decided to push on with his career and he’s still targeting the biggest prizes.
No official date has been confirmed for his next fight, but Conlan still believes he has plenty to offer.
“I’m 32 now, so I’m no spring chicken, but I believe I still have the ability,” said Conlan when speaking to BelfastMedia.com.
“My goal is still world titles and I’m not coming back for anything less or to just get a win back. If I really wanted, I could just go and get a win to finish on, but I want to do what I set out to.”
