Emanuel Navarrete will fight Ruben Villa for the vacant junior WBO featherweight title on Oct. 9.
The belt was vacated by Shakur Stevenson, who has moved up to the junior lightweight division, and the fight has now been scheduled to be shown on ESPN.
Navarette (31-1, 27 KOs) was due to take on Jessie Magdaleno, but he rejected the chance to fight as he disputed his purse entitlement after Top Rank won with a bid of $250,000, according to ESPN. The 40 percent offered to Magdaleno was short of what he was initially offered.
Villa has moved up the consideration after beating Alexei Collado in January this year.
Vice president of Top Rank’s boxing operations Carlo Moretti said: "It's a linear date, and we get to promote the Lomachenko-Lopez fight for the week after."
A fight between WBO junior lightweight champion Eva Brodnicka (19-0, 2 KOs) and Mikaela Mayer (13-0, 5 KOs) was also announced, though a date is yet to be confirmed.
