The Englishman is back next week.

Nick Ball has taken huge strides in 2024 on his way to becoming world champion in a featherweight division congested with dangerous fighters.

Ball had to settle for a draw against Rey Vargas before rebounding brilliantly to defeat Raymond Ford to collect the WBA belt.

The Liverpool man will have his third fight of 2024 on October 5 when he welcomes America’s Ronny Rios to his city.

If successful, Ball will continue to target big names and he’s made it clear that he’s ready for a fight with Naoya Inoue, one of boxing’s best fighters.

“Yeah. Anyone really, anyone who they are calling the top guy and the best,” said Ball when asked by Queensberry about the possibility of taking on Inoue.

“Anyone they are speaking about highly, I want to be fighting them, definitely. I will be waiting for him.”
