Oleksandr Usyk is not ruling out a move back to cruiserweight as he gets ready for the biggest fight of his career.
The talented Ukrainian will face Tyson Fury this Saturday night, live on DAZN PPV, and victory will mean he will become the undisputed heavyweight champion.
Before making the switch to heavyweight in 2019, Usyk was the world’s best cruiserweight, and he held all four world titles at one point.
After defeating tony Bellew in 2018, Usyk left the division, but following the Fury rivalry, Usyk has stated he could return to his old weight class.
“This is an incredible feeling, having the opportunity to be here now and do what God allows me to do,” said Usyk when speaking to TNT Sports ahead of the Fury battle.
“All the historic champions; all these boxers have done a lot for boxing. Rocky Marciano was never defeated, he died undefeated. Maybe I will go back to cruiserweight and win.”
