Oleksandr Usyk has warned that time is running out to make the undisputed heavyweight fight with Tyson Fury.
A date of April 29 has been mooted but with little over a month before then, details need to be finalised soon to be able to put on an event,
The IBF, WBA and WBO champion agreed to a 70-30 purse split, such was his determination to get a chance to take Fury’s WBC strap, with a stipulation that some monies would also need to be donated by Fury to Usyk's home country, Ukraine, to aid the war effort after Russia’s invasion.
Usyk tweeted: "The points for agreement were sent to Fury's side. The deadline is set. The clock is ticking.
"The ball is on #Greedybelly's side now. We did everything in our power to make it happen."
Fury’s last fight came in December up against Derek Chisora which the incumbent won at a stroll in North London, following on from his title defence against Dillian Whyte in summer 2022.
Usyk meanwhile has been out of the ring since his rematch and successful title defence against Anthony Joshua in the autumn in Saudi Arabia.
The Middle East looks likely to host any fight between the two current champions, but Fury has often threatened retirement, and Usyk has claimed he has no interest in another fight besides an undisputed event.
