Oleksandr Usyk's manager provides latest update on Tyson Fury fight with 'deadline' approachingDAZN

Oleksandr Usyk’s manager is giving up hope of securing a fight with Tyson Fury as the deadline to make the bout gets closer.

Alex Krassyuk has been very vocal in recent weeks as he tries desperately to see his man get the opportunity to become undisputed champion and with each day that passes, he loses a little more hope.

The teams of Usyk and Fury have been locked in negotiations for weeks now with Usyk seemingly meeting every term offered by his heavyweight rival.

The Ukrainian fighter has agreed to receive the smaller end of the purse offered by Fury, but an official date for the contest is still not finalised with Krassyuk not convinced the huge event will happen.

“I would say it’s more probable not to happen, rather than to happen. This week is the deadline. [Tuesday] we would expect to get the draft agreement somehow,” said Krassyuk when speaking to IFLTV

“So probably it would take some time then to review and to see what’s in. I don’t know. This week should definitely be the deadline for all of us.”

“He’s not looking for Tyson Fury. He’s looking for the WBC belt – the one which is pending in his collection.”
