Ryan Garcia's social media posts have been a cause of concern for his fans ahead of his April 20 fight against Devin Haney on DAZN.
But while speaking with DAZN's Chris Mannix on Saturday night, Oscar De La Hoya vowed that Garcia's mental outlook is sharp and that he'll be ready to go.
"Ryan Garcia, I just talked to him. He’s in great spirits, he’s working his ass off in the gym," De La Hoya began saying. "Don’t mind the [social media] posts. That takes like five, 10 seconds of his time.
"He’s working hard every single minute of the day so I expect a war."
De La Hoya went as far as to say that Haney-Garcia can be a potential "Fight of the Year" candidate in just over a month's time.
The bout will serve as a tiebreaker as the fighters are 3-3 in the amateurs.
