Oscar De La Hoya was across two shows earlier this week as he watched Mike Tyson fall way short against Jake Paul before focusing on his own show.
Last Friday, Paul was too good for Tyson as youth prevailed over experience in one of 2024’s biggest boxing events in Texas.
The popular YouTuber had too much energy for his 58-year-old rival and that was reflected on the scorecards as Paul ran out a wide winner.
The following night in Saudi Arabia, De La Hoya promoted ‘Latino Night’ in association with Riyadh Season and the show was filled with numerous high-profile operators from the Golden Boy stable.

The standout performer was undoubtedly Gilberto Ramirez as the Mexican star unified the cruiserweight division with a dominant win over Chris Billam-Smith.
The result immediately switched the focus to a potential 2025 showdown between Ramirez and Jai Opetaia, a fight that would crown a world number one, but De La Hoya has also present ‘Zurdo’ as a potential option for Paul
“Jake, if you want to fight Zurdo right now, let’s do it and he will knock you out,” said De La Hoya when speaking to IFLTV.
The next move of Ramirez is still unconfirmed, but it’s clear that he has plenty of options.
