The Mexican star is one of the world's best pound-for-pound fighters.

The world of boxing is still awaiting the next move of the undisputed world super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

The Mexican last fought in September when he successfully defended all four of his 168lb titles against Jermell Charlo in what was a dominant performance.

It could be another big year for Alvarez, but many within boxing are now eager to see him face the best names at super middleweight.

One contender which has been frequently linked with facing Alvarez is David Benavidez who has been waiting for his shot at the undisputed super middleweight crown for a number of months, however, a deal between the two has never been struck with some claims that Alvarez is avoiding Benavidez.

But according to Paulie Malignaggi, it's not just Benavidez who Alvarez is avoiding, he claims that the number one fighter at super middleweight has no interest in facing Cuba's David Morrell.

"Morrell is so good that I don't think Canelo wants any part of him either," Malignaggi told ProBox TV

"I don't think Canelo wants any part of them."
