At the very least, say this for Logan Paul and his professional fighting career — he's absolutely fearless.
The YouTuber, who has over 20 million subscribers, uploaded footage Monday of a recent boxing sparring session with mixed martial arts star Paulo Costa from the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.
The video shows Paul and Costa trading shots until the undefeated UFC middleweight unleashes a hellish overhand right that smashes "The Maverick" across the jaw and knocks him out cold.
When Paul comes to, the bewildered YouTuber is seen asking "How did I do? I did good?"
Those coming to his aid in the ring told him he did "great."
Slept upon impact, this knockout is not for the weak at heart.
From there, the footage transitions to Paul and Costa hitting the mats and wrestling, where Paul fared a lot better, holding his own against the Brazilian powerhouse. After the wrestling session, Costa even heaped praise onto Paul.
“Ninety percent of guys who go to train MMA have good technique, but not hard spirit, not big heart, you know?” Costa told Paul. “You have both.”
Paul uploaded the video exactly four months after fellow YouTuber KSI scored a split-decision victory over him in their November 9 boxing match at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. With that serving as Paul's pro boxing debut, he made sure to attach the following caption to his YouTube video including the sparring session with Costa: "Does this mean I’m 0-2?"
Paul also spoke about the encounter with Costa on the latest episode of his podcast "Impaulsive."
"I've never met a human being who is more of an animal — an actual animal — than Paulo Costa," Paul said. "This dude sleeps, they said 10 to 13 hours a day, and just beats people's ass, dude."
