Peter Fury makes Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua prediction: He's a big strong manMatchroom Boxing

Peter Fury is expecting Oleksandr Usyk to repeat his victory over Anthony Joshua when the heavyweights collide for a second time on Saturday.

Fury is fully aware of what it takes to achieve glory in boxing’s marquee division after guiding Tyson Fury, his nephew, to glory against Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, and although he likes Usyk in this contest, he won’t dismiss Joshua’s chances.

Since losing to Usyk last September at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Joshua has been busy making adjustments to his team as he looks to reclaim boxing’s most lucrative prize.

Robert Garcia, the legendary Californian trainer, is now in charge of preparations, and Fury believes that we’ll see a better version of ‘AJ’ than the first fight.

"So, I think he can get it together. I think it'll be a harder fight this time, but he's going to have to change a lot of things’” said Fury when speaking to Sky Sports.

“Can he win it? Yeah, he can win it. He's a big strong man. He's dedicated, but again, you can overthink things and if he starts thinking about too many gameplans, this and that and loads of other things, 'I need to be perfect, I need to get it absolutely right,' I need this, I need that, he'll fail.

"There's a lot of hype around it, everybody's looking forward to it, I'm looking forward to it. I think it's going to be a phenomenal fight. Look, I wish both of them all the best.

“I don't favour any. It's a good fight and Usyk is a good fighter and if Joshua comes through, he's proved himself, but it's a tall order. I'd have to at this stage slightly favour Usyk in it, but I wouldn't be surprised if Joshua can come up with it and get the win.''
