Undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue is eager to continue moving up the weight divisions and add to what is already an impressive resume.
Inoue has become one of the world's most exciting fighters with his knockout victories often going viral and now has a strong case for being considered the world's best pound-for-pound fighter.
Inoue's last outing took place in May when he successfully defended his undisputed super bantamweight title against Luis Nery with a sixth round knockout in Tokyo, Japan.
Now there are calls for the 31-year-old to move up to featherweight and whilst attending Saturday's fight between Xaner Zayas and Patrick Teixeira, he gave an update as to whether a fight at 126lbs is imminent.
"When I’m ready to go up the weights, and when my body is ready to do that," Inoue told ESPN.
If Inoue is to move up to featherweight, one potential opponent could be America's Bruce Carrington who produced an eighth round stoppage against Brayan De Garcia on the undercard of Zayas vs. Teixeria in New York.
