Promoter and Top Rank CEO Bob Arum will be happy with what he saw on Tuesday with Naoya Inoue successfully defending his undisputed super bantamweight title.

The 92-year-old was ringside in Tokyo for Inoue's clash with TJ Doheny, and is eager to continue delivering big fight nights for the Japanese star.

Inoue was making the second defence of four super bantamweight title belts, and while Doheny was forced to pull out of the fight in round seven due to injury, it was a contest which Inoue controlled from start to finish and it felt like it was only a matter of time until "The Monster" finished it on his own accord.

With Inoue continuing to cement himself as a pound-for-pound star, what lies ahead is always a hot topic amongst boxing experts and fans, and speaking in the ring after Inoue's win, Arum teased what could be next for the 31-year-old.

"I understand he'll be coming back here to Tokyo to defend his title again at the end of the year and then we're taking him to the United States for a big celebration in Las Vegas," Arum said.

While Inoue has made Tokyo his home for his boxing career, a fight in the US could be what's needed for "The Monster" to expose himself to a casual audience having only made three appearances in the States so far during his 12 years in professional boxing.
