Regis Prograis wants a big fight, and he desires it sooner rather than later. Adrien Broner, Gervonta Davis, and Terence Crawford have been mentioned as possible opponents.
Currently, Broner is without an opponent, Davis is taking on Mario Barrios on Saturday, and Crawford is reportedly going to return on Oct. 23 against an unknown foe. Prograis (26-1, 22 KOs) says he isn't going to welterweight and thinks Broner and Davis have no interest in fighting him. But there's a name that Prograis feels would face him.
"MAKE IT HAPPEN."
Prograis, a former WBA junior welterweight champion, last fought in April, defeating Ivan Redkach via sixth-round TKO on the Jake Paul-Ben Askren undercard. Initially, the 32-year-old Prograis had been declared the winner via technical decision after Redkach couldn't continue after a low blow. However, two days later, the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission overturned the result.
Garcia (40-1, 30 KOs), a former four-division world champion, hasn't fought since a thrilling unanimous decision win over Jessie Vargas in February. The 33-year-old had been trying to secure a fight with Manny Pacquiao. But Pacquiao switched course and is facing Errol Spence Jr. on Aug. 21.
