The only question for Regis Prograis when it comes to fighting Adrien Broner is if he would be able to stop him.
Prograis came off an almost-embarrassing TKO over Ivan Redkach at the weekend on the Triller card for Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren, with Redkach apparently feigning a low blow in order to stop the fight.
However the former light welterweight champion hopes for a sterner test and called for a fight with Broner, who has held belts across four different weight classes.
Speaking to the DAZN Boxing Show, Prograis claimed the next fight he wanted was: “Broner, Adrian Broner.
“If he saw the money that Triller were handing down, he was saying he wants to fight on Triller next. Who’s better to fight than me?
“I think that’s the next fight. If it’s not the next fight, it’s the one right after.
“Right back on Triller, that’s a huge fight. In and out of the ring it’s going to be a big event.”
Prograis had no doubt that he would be the victor but thinks the real test would be if he could win by stoppage.
“I would try [to stop him]. I think I can beat him, me going into a training camp won’t be to Adrien Broner, it will be that I want to stop him.
“There’s no question I can beat him. For me, it’s about stopping him. I would definitely want to be the first person to stop him.
“Adrien Broner is tough. For me, that would be my main focus: To stop Adrien Broner.”
