WBC super lightweight champion Regis Prograis is not worried about the failure to arrange a fight with rival Jose Ramirez.

Prograis recently became world champion again after winning a belt vacated by former undisputed 140 lb champion, who is focusing on a rematch with Jack Catterall rather than protecting all four the belts he once held.

Ramirez is also a former champion at the weight and had been given a mandatory title shot, only to pull out during negotiations over a proposed clash.

While Ramirez was frustrated by the failure to land a clash, Prograis said he was content to wait for any fight with the 30-year-old American.

“How ’bout that then,” Prograis said, reported BoxingScene.com. “If it ain’t happening next, well, f— it, oh well, let it f—ing' marinate, if that’s what they say.”

Discussing the difficulties of arranging a fight, Prograis asked: “What do you expect me [to do? What is it gonna be? I don’t know bro. I’m not the business person behind this s—.”

“When the business people start talking, [fights] s— don’t happen,” Prograis added.

“For me it’s all gonna be talk right now, so it don’t even make sense.”

Ramirez could now fight Richard Commey, a former lightweight operator, in March, but Prograis’ next opponent is not yet decided.
