Regis Prograis and Devin Haney meet in a fascinating 140lbs encounter in December and it looks like Ryan Garcia could be next for the winner.
That’s the belief of Eddie Hearn, the fight’s promoter, who is relishing the huge fight that takes place on America’s west coast and is already shifting plenty of tickets.
Garcia endured the first defeat of his career earlier this year when he was stopped in seven rounds by Gervonta Davis.
The Californian returns to the ring the week before Prograis vs. Haney on December 2, when he faces Oscar Duarte, and a win could immediately elevate him into world title contention.
“We’ll make the Ryan Garcia fight,” reported Boxingscene after Hearn spoke to the media last week.
“I mean, that’s, you know, DAZN know that the winner of this fight should fight Ryan Garcia. I mean, Ryan Garcia is with DAZN, he’s with Golden Boy. That fight is so easy to make right now.
“I think whoever wins this fight, you know, if it’s Devin Haney, if it’s Regis Prograis, it’s a February, it’s a March fight in Vegas, in Los Angeles, against Ryan Garcia. It’s a massive, massive fight for boxing.”
