Ricky Hatton has told Tyson Fury how he can beat Oleksandr Usyk.
Hatton is a former multi-division world champion, and is one of the best fighters to come out of Britain in recent memory.
Fury and Usyk go head-to-head on DAZN PPV on Saturday, May 18, with the winner becoming the first-ever undisputed champion of the four-belt era.
Both men have had their recent difficulties and were dropped in their respective last fights.
Francis Ngannou sent Fury to the canvas back in October 2023, before the champion recovered for a split-decision victory, while in August, Usyk was winded by a body blow from Daniel Dubois - though the referee ruled it below the belt.
Speaking to Lord Ping , Hatton advised Fury to go to work on the Ukrainian’s body.
Hatton said: “Get him into the middle of the ring and keep working him. I’d look at working the body – Tyson should fire some shots at the body to see how he reacts in the early rounds. He’s got the height and reach advantage.
“Tyson has all of the tools in his arsenal to win this fight. He needs to stay focussed, because if he takes his eye off the ball for a second and gets careless, Oleksandr has all the skills to hurt him.
“He needs to outbox him; slow him down and then put his foot down as the fight makes its way to the home straight. I can’t wait for the fight.”
