Roy Jones Jr isnt sure whether Terence Crawford should face Canelo Alvarez next after watching the Mexican outclass Jermell Charlo.
Canelo was in control from out the outset and after dropping Charlo in the fight’s seventh round, he coasted to the final bell where he was handed the fight by wide margins from all three ringside judges.
Immediately after the bout, the attention turned to what direction Canelo will head in next with plenty of options available.
One name linked to Canelo in recent months is Terence Crawford. The Nebraska welterweight impressed in July when stopping Errol Spence, but Jones Jr thinks he should face Charlo before making such a huge leap.
“I think Canelo’s a little big,” said Jones Jr when speaking to FightHype.
“I’d like to see Crawford fight Charlo first and see how that goes. If he does good against Charlo with the weight, then let’s see him come up and fight Canelo.”
