Roy Jones Jr was recently asked his thoughts on who is the best fighter of all time.

Roy Jones has labelled himself as the best fighter of all time. The former four weight world champion who mesmerised boxing fans through the talent laden 1990s and early into the following decade had no issue at all placing himself at the top of boxing’s best fighter list.

A silver medallist at the 1988 Olympics, Jones turned professional shortly afterwards and was soon on his way to greatness with wins over the likes of Bernard Hopkins and James Toney. In 2003, Jones leaped from 175lbs to heavyweight to become WBA ruler after dominating John Ruiz. It was a result that massively enhanced his superb legacy.

As a guest on Shannon Sharpe’s YouTube Show, Jones possessed no doubts when asked who he believed was the best boxer of all time. "I have to be honest with you I'd be at the top of my list so take me out of there,” said Jones.

"I'd put Muhammad Ali at the top, I would probably put Sugar Ray Robinson second, I would probably put Salvador Sanchez third.”
