Carl Froch has been critical of a potential Chris Eubank Jr bout.

Carl Froch doesn’t give Chris Eubank Jr. any chance of securing success if he were to pursue a bout with Canelo Alvarez.

After grabbing revenge over Liam Smith last month, Eubank Jr set his targets high and a bout with the Mexican icon is high on his priority list.

Canelo was impressive this past weekend when dominating Jermell Charlo but it’s still unknown what his next move will be.

Eubank Jr. has competed at super middleweight in previous efforts and he’s more than ready to make the jump again, but Froch, once an elite performer at 168lbs. Doesn’t give his fellow Brit much of a chance.

“Eubank Jr just wants paying doesn’t he? You can't put Eubank Jr anywhere near Canelo,” said Froch when speaking Best Gambling Sites

“It's a mismatch. Eubank got blown away by Liam Smith, how will he deal with the size and strength of Canelo? And then the experience - he’s just not going to be able to do it. Canelo is an absolute ferocious fighting machine. He's ridiculously experienced at world level.

“The only times Chris Eubank Jr. stepped into world level he lost twice to Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves, so he can’t step up to Canelo’s level. It’s Saturday league against Premier League. Canelo would smash Eubank to bits, as soon as he gets in range, he'll absolutely maul him.”
