Sebastian Fundora eager for clash with Canelo Alvarez: 'If I can make that weight, why not'DAZN
Sebastian Fundora stopped Erickson Lubin in round nine last weekend.

Light middleweight Sebastian Fundora's stock has risen massively following his ninth-round stoppage win over Erickson Lubin on Saturday night.

With a six-and-a-half foot frame, Fundora is a freak of nature in his weight class and while he isn't thinking of moving up in weight right now, a potential fight with the undisputed super middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez could spark a move through various divisions.

"Who wouldn’t. Everyone wants to fight Canelo," Fundora told The DAZN Boxing Show

"If I can make that weight, why not?

"It’s not losing the weight, it’s gaining the weight so if I can move up eventually to 160, 168, then I’ll definitely do it.

"Maybe in the future, I just have to put that weight on and we’ll see where we’re at."

Fundora is also interested in a fight with one of his inspirations, Gennadiy Golovkin, who unified the IBF and WBA world middleweight titles with a stoppage win against Ryota Murata in Japan this past weekend.

"If the opportunity is there, I’ll do it," Fundora said.

"It’s boxing, it’s a sport, it’s the business.

"For me nothing’s really taken out of the ring, but in the ring there’s no respect whether it’s your best friend or family member.

"Outside the ring it’s all love."
