Oleksandr Usyk should drop to cruiserweight and face Jai Opetaia after his latest victory over Tyson Fury, with Sergio Mora hailing the star's achievements at heavyweight.
The star defeated Tyson Fury for a second time this year after scoring a points win by unanimous decision at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena this weekend in Saudi Arabia.
It means The Cat moves to a 23-0 record and retains his WBA, WBC and WBO titles, effectively cementing his place as the era's pre-eminent heavyweight.
Usyk has discussed a return to cruiserweight, where he was also undisputed champion, in the build-up and now Mora believes he should fight Australian Opetaia next.
"I’ve got a fight for Usyk, and it’s Jai Opetaia," he told DAZN's post-fight broadcast. "He brings the hands, the footwork, youth, power, confidence. That’s the fight you should be making."
Elsewhere, Mora also further hailed the star's qualities in the ring, stressing that his success in stepping up from a lower weight division has been a remarkable feat.
"All the cards were stacked against [Usyk], and that’s what makes him a great fighter, that’s what makes him great on his feet. He had to show heart today, he had to show his chin.
"That’s the thing about Usyk, he’s fighting all these great men and he’s taking their punches. He’s a cruiserweight who became a great heavyweight
"[He is] taking heavyweight punches by a monster. We have to give credit where credit is due. Usyk is a great fighter, and that’s it."
