Sergio Mora believes Ben Davison is the right man to lead Anthony Joshua's corner for his fight against Otto Wallin on December 23 live on DAZN PPV.
Since his back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua has enlisted the services of American trainer Derrick James and so far this relationship is a successful one with the British star already getting wins over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius earlier this year.
However, due to a number of factors, James is unable to be Joshua's corner on Saturday night which resulted in the British fighter picking Davison to lead preparations for this meeting with Wallin.
While Davison is a credible trainer, there are some who believe this may not be the wisest move from Joshua who needs some stability within his team if he is to become a world champion.
However, when speaking on The DAZN Boxing Show, Mora explained what makes Davison a good trainer and how he will benefit Joshua come fight night.
"Yes, he is the right man for the job because Ben Davison knows how to communicate in the corner," Mora said.
"In that 60 seconds that a trainer has to communicate to their fighter what they need to do for the next round, Ben Davison knows how to encapsulate that.
"Anthony Joshua is a cerebral fighter; he needs to hear the words in order to put them into action and that’s what Ben Davison does exactly right.
"The strategy, everything’s there for them, I’m a big fan of Ben Davison."
