Shakur Stevenson makes easy work of Shuichiro Yoshino and has stinging words for Devin HaneyDAZN

The precision, speed and growing power were all on display from Shakur Stevenson.

Fighting in his hometown of Newark, New Jersey, Stevenson delivered two pointed knockdowns before cruising to a sixth-round TKO of Shuichiro Yoshino in a WBC lightweight title eliminator on Saturday night.

After skating to the victory and improving to 20-0, Stevenson didn't hesitate slinging some stinging words toward undisputed lightweight world champion and familiar foe, Devin Haney.

Whether that will come to fruition as a pro remains to be seen, though Stevenson certainly was levels above Yoshino to put himself in position.

A precise, crisp left hand put Yoshino on the canvas in the second round.

And it kept getting worse for Yoshino after that as Stevenson dropped him again two rounds later.

By the sixth, Yoshino was eating more flush shots without returning fire and the referee wisely brought an end to the action.
