WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson has claimed that Eddie Hearn is a better promoter than the legendary Bob Arum.
Stevenson was speaking after his successful title defence against Artem Harutyunyan which was met with criticism from many fans and boxing experts.
This contest was also Stevenson's last as a Top Rank fighter with the 27-year-old now a free agent after turning down a $15m offer to extend his contract with Arum's promotional company.
With Stevenson one of boxing's most exciting young stars, a number of the sport's biggest promoters will be eager to acquire his services, and in an interview with the Cigar Talk YouTube channel, the WBC 135lb champion had plenty of praise for one particular promoter.
"I think Eddie Hearn is one of the best promoters," Stevenson said.
"Top Rank have ESPN. But promotion wise, Eddie Hearn is a better promoter."
