After defeating Tevin Farmer by a razor-thin split decision Saturday night, live on DAZN, William Zepeda didn't waste time calling out WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson for a fight.
"Yeah, we're just waiting now, we're waiting with confidence to receive that offer, that firm offer," Zepeda said about facing Stevenson next. "For the opportunity and we'll take the opportunity, obviously."
As quick as Zepeda was with the call out, Stevenson was just as quick to react.
He took to his X social media account and called Zepeda "food," before vowing that their fight is going to be one-way traffic in his favor.
Two of three judges Saturday night saw the fight 95-94 in Zepeda's favor, though the bout did have the underdog Farmer dropping the Mexican fighter in the fourth round.
The undefeated Stevenson hasn't fought since defeating Artem Harutyunyan by unanimous decision in July.
