It didn't take Shakur Stevenson long to make an assessment of Devin Haney being declared a unanimous decision winner over Vasiliy Lomachenko on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
After entering the ring to confront Haney, Stevenson made it clear that he thought the judges didn't get this one right and that Loma should have been crowned the new undisputed lightweight world champion.
"Lomachenko should be the undisputed champion — he won," Stevenson told ESPN in the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. "He won that fight. He landed the cleaner punches, he landed the cleaner shots on Dev and he pushed the pace."
(CompuBox did have Lomachenko finishing with a 124-110 punches landed advantage over Haney).
From there, Stevenson took it upon himself to call Haney out for a shot at all four lightweight world titles.
"Let's make it happen, I think that should happen next," Stevenson added. "I think Devin is not on my level and I'm gonna show it."
He added about Haney: "I feel like he's a tough fighter but it's a high skill level within me and I feel like he's not on my level."
Stevenson also mentioned how Haney's father and trainer, Bill Haney, called him out after his last fight and that's why he came to confront them, only for the Haneys to "run out the ring."
Stevenson did get a brief exchange with Haney, who declared himself "No. 1" — to which Stevenson shot back "for now."
