Former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs refused to commit to fighting another former belt holder, Riddick Bowe.
The 49-year-old fighter is talking up a return to the ring for himself, while Bowe, 53, also appears keen to take advantage in the recent interest in legend bouts.
Speaking on the DAZN Boxing Show, Briggs could not get behind the idea of the pair meeting in the ring, with Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson his current target for a fight.
“I love him, I love him. He's the best. I love him to death, he's Brownsville you know, man,” he started about Bowe.
“But it's not, it's not anything for me to hurt my brother, even though he might hurt me anyway. Look how big he is.
“You know you need to make your living. I love him to death. I wish I was in a position that I can financially take [care of] him for the rest of my life, because if I could I would.
“You know, unfortunately I'm not. When I get there I'm always looking out for fighters, because I love fighters.
“I'm saying that we are one of a kind humans.”
