Who would set off more fireworks in this fascinating clash?

In the aftermath of defeating Steve Claggett by unanimous decision last weekend, Teofimo Lopez expressed his willingness to fight Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz — a relentless forward-fighting warrior.

Well, on a recent episode of his The PorterWay Podcast, former welterweight world champion Shawn Porter weighed in on the potential 140-pound title unification bout.

"I could see that fight looking a lot like Tank's fight with Pitbull where there's a lot of big moments, a lot of big mix punches from Pitbull," Porter began previewing. "I could see Teofimo outboxing him and being on his Ps and Qs. I could see that."

But the more he thinks about it, Porter sees the fight going in favor of Lopez, the reigning WBO junior welterweight world champion.

"I could see Teo being big enough and strong enough to lock him up when he needs to," Porter continued. "From a stylistic standpoint, I don't see Pitbull being able to beat Teofimo Lopez. It's an exciting fight from beginning to end — that's the thing about Pitbull. Any fight he's in, it's going to be exciting.

"There could — I could be wrong — but there could be some scary moments but I feel like if I had to put a percent on it, I feel like that's 60-40, 65-35 for Lopez."

Since losing to Gervonta "Tank" Davis by unanimous decision in December 2021, Cruz has gone 4-0 including an eighth-round TKO of Rolando Romero in March to claim the WBA junior welterweight world title.

Lopez is 5-0 in his last five fights.
