'Nobody wants a rematch': Should Amir Khan and Kell Brook fight again?DAZN
The veterans clashed two weekends ago with most assuming their rivalry was now over.

The DAZN Boxing Show discussed whether boxing needed a Kell Brook vs. Amir Khan rematch.

The 35-year-old former world champions fought two weekends ago and it was Brook who dominated, stopping his opponent in the sixth round.

That win looked to have put paid to the pair’s rivalry going back years, but there is still the chance that Khan could activate the clause to enforce a rematch.

Most imagine that Khan will now step away from the ring, and Brook has been linked with names like Keith Thurman after a reinvigorating display.

Akin ‘Ak’ Reyes and Barak discussed whether there was any serious commercial appeal for a rematch, with both of them sceptical there was any need.

Ak said: “Nobody wants to see the rematch. I don’t think they’re calling for a Kell Brook [vs. Amir Khan] fight. He did the business, he has the bragging rights. The long feud is over and he made tons of money, and nobody wants to see the rematch.”

Barak did not think that Khan would be safe to stay in boxing, given the last three fights have delivered defeat in the same manner.

“The last three losses, he’s been stopped in the sixth round,” he began. “There’s a pattern there, whether it’s jet lag or not, it started two fights ago. A performance like that does not deserve a rematch at all. Remember when Andy Ruiz stopped [Anthony Joshua], Andy Ruiz rematched him, and because he came in overweight and out of shape, nobody wanted a rematch.

“I’m sorry Amir Khan, but nobody wants to see it now, but he didn't earn it. If you want to continue in the sport and re-earn it, that might be dangerous as well.”
