Showtime boss Steven Espinoza believes that Gervonta 'Tank' Davis could face Isaac Cruz for a second time in his next fight.
Davis was last in action in April when he stopped Ryan Garcia in one of the biggest fights of the year.
Since then, Davis has been dealing with issues away from the ring, but now it's looking like an update on his next move is not too far away.
“I think it’s an option," Espinoza told FightHype when asked about a potential Davis vs. Cruz rematch.
“Neither one of those guys was completely satisfied with how the first fight went.
"Isaac believes he had a missed opportunity, Tank was hampered by the hand. I’d love to see that fight again.”
Cruz fought Davis in December 2021 on four weeks notice and took the hard-hitting American the full 12 round distance. The Mexican however found himself on the wrong end of a unanimous decision.
