'You're going to see the best me!' - Skye Nicolson ready to seize history with Riyadh Season encounterEd Mulholland/Matchroom
Competing in the first female bout set to be held on a card sponsored by the Saudi entertainment season, the Australian has her eyes on another blockbuster encounter.

Skye Nicolson has assured fans will "see the best me" when she and Raven Chapman make history next month on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol.

The WBC female featherweight title holder will make history when she contests the first female bout on a Riyadh Season card this October at Kingdom Arena, Riyadh.

Nicolson, who holds an 11-0 professional record with one KO, is aware that all eyes will be on her and Chapman to deliver when they put their unbeaten records on the line.

But the Australian is confident she can live up to the occasion, and expects her opponent to bring out her greater qualities in what looks set to be an enthralling encounter.

"It’s huge," she told DAZN. "I’m excited for the opportunity. I feel privileged, honoured. These are the fights I’ve been wanting, these are the fights I’ve been calling for.

"I know that you’re going to see the best me when I’ve got someone in front of me who thinks they can win and is coming there to win. You’ll see the best me, a hundred percent."

Nicolson and Chapman have delivered just three KOs between them across a total of 20 fights, suggesting their encounter will be one that goes the distance in Saudi Arabia.

The former feels they will be well-matched to deliver a fascinating fight however, adding: "She’s game, she’s very aggressive, and I think we’re going to be a great clash.

"She’s perfect for this opportunity, for this stage. I think it’s going to be a very entertaining fight for the fans and maybe a little more competitive than the other fights."
