The vacant WBC Interim World flyweight title is up for grabs on Saturday in Birmingham as Sunny Edwards and Galal Yafai go toe-to-toe live on DAZN.
While a world title might seem enough of a focus for any fighter, there is a whole heap more riding on this one for these two gladiators.
Olympic gold medallist Yafai and former world champ Edwards have a long history stretching back to their battles in their amateur days. Add to that, the reputation of two well regarded boxing family names are on the line.

This is more than just a fight. This is family rivalry. This is the reignition of a feud that began many years ago in the amateur code before exploding in the professional scene.
Croydon's Edwards and Birmingham's Yafai may have thought their feud was over when they last met as amateurs in 2015, but almost a decade on, the pair collide again, and the winner can expect a huge 2025.
The grudge to end all grudges
This is a personal grudge between two fighters who have achieved enormous success but still won’t be satisfied until they’ve won this fight. Edwards will look at the Olympic gold medal won by Yafai and believe deep down that he was capable of doing the same due to defeating the Birmingham man as unpaid fighters.
For Yafai, 8-0 (6 KOs), he wants to add a world title to his Olympic glory. He has had to watch enviously Edwards occupy that position when he reigned as flyweight ruler.
Both have enjoyed the highs of boxing in different codes, and it is probably right to assume that even though each man is fulfilled with their achievements, they would not mind a little of what the other has.
This is everything for both
Edwards, 21-1 (4 KOs) will have brother Charlie cheering him on whilst Kal and Gamal will be doing the same for their sibling, but those people can’t be in the ring.
Sunny and Galal are the ones chosen to settle this dispute between two outstanding boxing families and they will go all out to get the victory.
Both are astute performers with brilliant pedigrees capable of boxing their way to comfortable decisions, but this is more than a boxing match.
When that first bell sounds, this will become everything for both men and with each fighter eager to prove they belong in the biggest fights possible next year, combined with their history, this can’t be anything else but brutal.
Each fighter will have a plan but expect those strategies to be torn to shreds as both give everything, they have in their quest to prove who is the better fighter.
