Sunny Edwards takes on Galal Yafai on Saturday night in a battle for the vacant WBC Interim World flyweight crown, but before he steps into the ring he has given his prediction on another titanic tussle this weekend.
Edwards, a former world flyweight champion, faces the 2020 Olympic gold medallist live on DAZN, in a rivalry that dates back to their amateur days. However, ahead of the fight, he's taken on BBC pundit Chris Sutton in this week's Premier League predictions.
The 28-year-old has predicted scores for each of this weekend's Premier League games against the former Blackburn and Celtic striker, and plumped for big wins for both Arsenal at West Ham and Manchester United as they host Everton.
Yet all eyes will be on Anfield on Sunday as league leaders Liverpool take on an out-of-sorts Manchester City, as the reigning champions look for their first win in six games.
While Sutton has gone for an eyebrow-raising 4-1 win for the Reds, Edwards has been a bit more cautious in his prediction for the game.
He said: "For a long time it just seemed unfair how good City were, but not anymore - they need a big performance here.
"Liverpool seem to be grinding out the results but I actually think this game might be quite even. 2-2"
Sutton-born Edwards has also gone big for the club he supports, cheekily predicting a 10-1 win for Chelsea at home to Aston Villa, and he told BBC Sport of how his love for the Blues began as a child.
"My dad supported them and I was born and raised to be a Blue," he added.
"When I was growing up, from my duvet to my wallpaper, everything in my bedroom was always Chelsea.
"I had a few different favourite players down the years, starting with Dennis Wise. Then there was the likes of Arjen Robben and Eden Hazard, and Didier Drogba is an absolute legend too.
"When I was a kid, I was really into it and would feel the pressure when we were playing big games and I'd have to go into school the next day. I remember crying when we lost the Champions League final to Manchester United in 2008.
"I still follow them now and try and catch a game here and there, but there are only so many weekends in a year and boxing takes up a lot of them for me now."
