Respected boxing coach and analyst Teddy Atlas has claimed that three of Britain's best heavyweights, Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury and Daniel Dubois could beat a 'peak' Mike Tyson.
Tyson is one of the sport's most legendary and feared names, and in the 1980s and 1990s his knockout wins sent shockwaves around the world.
The American during his reign of terror also became the youngest ever heavyweight champion at 20 years, 4 months and 22 days, a record which is yet to be beaten.
One common topic of discussion amongst boxing fans is how today's generation of fighters would fare against the greats of the past, and Tyson is a name which often gets mentioned.
Atlas has coached and analysed some of the greatest fighters to ever lace up the gloves, and speaking to CanadaCasino.Ca, he explained why these three particular heavyweights could cause problems for "Iron Mike".
"If the other guys were good enough to beat them, the guys today would be good enough," Atlas said.
"I mean, Joshua would have a tough time, because Tyson could get to him and catch him. But Joshua also could have a chance to catch him on the way in, but I think Joshua would be an underdog in that when Tyson was at his best. With Tyson's speed, with his elusiveness, he could get in and have a chance to land one on Joshua, where he'd have a chance to hurt Joshua.
"With Fury it would be a little harder. I think Mike Tyson and Dubois would be really interesting, because I don't think people realize how solid a puncher he is.
"He's a thick, really good, solid puncher almost like a George Foreman, blunt force type puncher.”
The heavyweight division is currently an exciting one with the next big encounter scheduled for February 22 when Daniel Dubois defends his IBF heavyweight title against Joseph Parker live on DAZN PPV.
