Shakur Stevenson produced a sound boxing performance in his unanimous decision over Artem Harutyunyan this past weekend.
But Teofimo Lopez wasn't impressed at all.
When the Stevenson-Harutyunyan fight was broached, the WBO junior welterweight world champion let it be known that he couldn't care less.
"Nobody's watching that s—t," Lopez told Fight Hub over the weekend.
"People walked out?" he questioned, asking whether Stevenson's hometown fans in Newark, New Jersey left the fight early.
Lopez added about Stevenson: "It's his last fight with Top Rank, so good riddance."
Before Stevenson could even generate the win, Lopez didn't think highly Harutyunyan's record (12-1, 7 KOs) entering the fight.
"[Stevenson] just fought a guy that had only 7 KOs. And what was it, 12-1? Nobody knows. Come on, guys. Don't come at me. I've done my work."
Lopez is a former unified lightweight world champion, counting a win over Vasiliy Lomachenko. His victory over Josh Taylor sparked his current reign as a 140-pound world champ.
