Keyshawn Davis had already called Teofimo Lopez out for a fight after defeating Jose Pedraza with an electric TKO in Thursday night's co-main event in Las Vegas.
So after witnessing Lopez defeat Jamaine Ortiz in the main event, Davis was in position to call Lopez out directly to his face.
What ensued was a fiery confrontation between the two ringside at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Moments later, Lopez dismissed the notion altogether.
"We're talking about a lightweight!" Lopez said on ESPN about Davis. "We're talking about a lightweight over here. He hasn't done anything.
"Just like Vasiliy Lomachenko told me — if you want to fight me, you got to get a title. Get a world title. If you want to fight the king, go ahead and get the world title.
"I'm not going to give it to you guys ... for what? You guys want it easy! Everybody wants it easy!"
