Will it finally happen?

Ever since Terence Crawford became the WBO welterweight champion in June 2018, he's called out Errol Spence Jr. Both guys have seen each other at fights and said one would beat the other. But as it goes in boxing, the chatter didn't lead to much other than Crawford and Spence dominating the competition.

After Crawford stopped Shawn Porter in November and  Spence destroyed Yordenis Ugas to gain the WBA (super) title on Saturday along with retaining his IBF/WBC belts, there are no other options left for the two best welterweights in the world than to fight one another. When asked in his post-fight interview with Jim Gray on whose next, Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) told the world he wants to become the undisputed champion and wants Crawford next.

"Everybody knows who I want next. I want Terence Crawford next," Spence told Grey.

"That’s the fight I want. That’s the fight everybody wants. Like I said, I’m going to get these straps, and I’m going to go over there and take his s— too. Man down, strap season. I know what time it is. Terence, I’m coming for that motherf—ing belt."

Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) is 6-0 with six knockouts since moving up 147 pounds after becoming the undisputed junior welterweight champion. He watched the fight as he gave round-by-round updates on his Twitter page. Then, he heard what the 2012 Olympian had to say and accepted the challenge.
