Terence Crawford believes Shawn Porter, who has fought both 'Bud' and Errol Spence Jr., has a better resume than the two welterweight champions.
Crawford and Spence meet for the undisputed welterweight title on July 29 in Las Vegas in one of the biggest fights of the year, but Crawford believes once the first bell sounds, their respective resumes will become irrelvant.
"I respect Errol Spence Jr as a fighter, but resume don’t mean anything in my eyes because, to be honest, Shawn Porter has a better resume than both of us. It really doesn’t matter," Crawford told PPV.com.
Spence defended his IBF and WBC world welterweight titles against Porter in 2019 in what was a close fight, but it was Spence who emerged victorious with a split decision.
Porter then faced Crawford two years later, and on that occasion it was a more dominant performance from the WBO welterweight champion who stopped his opponent in round ten following two knockdowns.
