Terence Crawford gives his unfiltered thoughts on Bakhram Murtazaliev destroying Tim Tszyu

Terence Crawford gives his unfiltered thoughts on Bakhram Murtazaliev destroying Tim TszyuMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing
Did the WBA super welterweight world champion get a preview of his next opponent?

Terence Crawford took to his X social media account while watching Bakhram Murtazaliev dismantle Tim Tszyu on Saturday night.

And just as it was getting darker in the ring for Tszyu, Crawford's commentary got grimmer by the post.

While watching Murtazaliev drop Tszyu three times in the second round, the top pound-for-pound star and reigning WBA super welterweight world champion let fans know everything from Murtazaliev being "too strong for Tim" to "it's over for Tim" and even "stop the fight," before the Australian fighter's corner did precisely that toward a third-round TKO for Murtazaliev.

But above all, perhaps Crawford's most telling post was suggesting Tszyu overlooked Murtazaliev and paid dearly for it.

If true, Crawford could have very well been one of those fighters that Tszyu allowed to creep into his mind. But instead of moving forward with that possibility, Tszyu was dominated by Murtazaliev who could now see groundswell toward landing a Crawford fight himself.

With his emphatic victory, the undefeated Murtazaliev (23-0, 17 KOs) already had his name mentioned across from Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) on the Premier Boxing Champions card for a possible title unification between the 154-pound world champions.

Murtazaliev's bulldozing style put up against unified WBC/WBO super welterweight world champion Sebastian Fundora would also be intriguing.

Regardless of what transpires next, Murtazaliev made a splash with one of the most dominating title defenses that you'll ever see. He turned a fire fight in the opening round into a savage beating quickly.

Now, the question is: will we see Crawford vs. Murtazaliev next?

Crawford already has an early scouting report on the Russian.
