Terence Crawford has dismissed any interest in facing former unified world welterweight champion Keith Thurman.
Thurman has frequently called for a fight with Crawford, but when speaking to The Last Stand, 'Bud' was quick to shut down any chances of meeting the 34-year-old inside the ring.
“Listen, everybody knows Keith Thurman is just talking," Crawford said.
“You’ve got to understand, Keith Thurman is the same guy who said I’m not a real welterweight. Keith Thurman is the same guy who said I haven’t proven myself at welterweight. Keith Thurman is the same guy who has expressed that he’s not interested in fighting Terence Crawford.
“Now all of a sudden, out of the blue he’s fiending to fight Terence Crawford? Okay.
“When you’re not relevant, you’ve got to take shots at the guys who are relevant. We don’t believe you, Keith.”
Crawford instead will be focusing on his upcoming undisputed welterweight title clash with Errol Spence which is set for July 29 in Las Vegas.
